FOCUS ON FASHION CATWALKS FALL 2011
Milan Fashion Week

Taking a look to the last women Milan fashion week, closed the may 1st, it’s clear the desire of the designers to renew the women gardrobes through vivid colors, furs and precious leathers, elements recalling the italian tailoring tradition.

Let’s focus on the most interesting designers showing at the fall 2011 Milan’s runways, here some photos:

GUCCI

Frida Giannini, the Gucci’s designer, opened the fashion week with a colorful collection, characterized by an aristocratic mood and dominated by leather dresses and matched furs.

FENDI

Inspired by the german artist Kurt Schwitters’ work, the last Fendi collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini approach fashion with a simply and elegant touch.

The fur collars around the models’ necks are just some of the stunning details of this collection.

GIANFRANCO FERRE’

This collection designed by Tommaso Acquilano and Roberto Rimondi it’s a tribute to the work of Gianfranco Ferrè himself. His original trademark is respected: the white shirts are changing in front of our eyes, in a black and white succession of evening silhouettes stylized by strong shapes and minimal cuts on soft and shining fabrics.

BOTTEGA VENETA

Called “a mix of control and passion” by Tomas Maier, the Creative Director of the maison, this last Bottega Veneta collection shows us an interesting match between overlapped pizzo and the reproduction as prints of it on fabrics themselves. Amazing the evening dresses where the austerity of the corsets is revealed by the heavy silk fabrics falling down with elegance.

PRADA

Ironic and colorful fabrics and textures have the main role in this last Prada’s fashion show. The result is a fusion between coats and dresses, skirts and tops characterized by big revéres, comfortable wearability and big bottons as details. Beautiful the fishscale composed skirts and dresses.
