Creative director Sarah Burton’s latest collection for Alexander McQueen combines traditional British items with a retro 70s-esque vibe, producing a rather flamboyant, playful-yet-elegant collection. The range almost seems like a homage to the late designer, who Burton worked with for 16 years before he passed away, with the eccentric but gentlemanly tops and tails, trench coats and theatrical frock coats are being reminiscent of past collections, despite being in subtly different new shapes.
