exclusive interview by Dario Cuci

Lenny Müller was born in Lichtenberg on July 21th. He is a new international model increasingly sought by stylist and designers for editorials and fashion shows. Of course he stands out for his great body but also for the distinctive expression. I had the chance to met him during the photo-shooting of Sadak´s winter lookbook 2012 where i was working as stylist. Lenny is a very nice guy, here a brief interview to get closer to his world.

When and how did you start working as a model ?

I started modeling in summer. My first job as a model was a test-shooting for a young photographer from Berlin.

Was it hard to became a model and how many selection you had?

It was pretty easy. I sent some pictures to Izaio Models (my mother agency) & they invited me to an open casting. After they saw me “live” they gave me a contract.

What is your nutrition? How often do you go to the gym? Do you practice constantly?

I study sport, so staying fit means a lot to me. Beside the sport I do in college, I do boxing twice a week & go to gym at least once a week. Healthy nutrition is important to me as well, but I have to admit that I cheat sometimes.

What do you think about the contemporary fashion scene? Is it hard to get new jobs?

I think luck plays a major role when it comes to jobs.

What’s the part of your job you enjoy more and what you can´t stand about it?

I like to meet people & create something new with them. Like doing an editorial, where everybody (photographer, stylist, model) can put his style into it, to get sth cool in the end. Shows are great as well, but totally different. What I don’t like is to get up early, ’cause I love to sleep long.

What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?

I don’t have a specific goal. I model for fun & I’m happy about every step further.

Who’s your favourite designer?and why?

To be honest, I don’t have a favourite designer. I think the great thing about fashion is the variety. So I like bright stuff like Jeremy Scott but also elegant/classic lines like Dolce & Gabbana.

Can you share with us your best working experience?

One of my highlights was the shooting for DERZEIT, a berlin fashion magazine. Also the Wood Wood show in summer 2011 at the berlin fashion week was very cool, ’cause it was my first show.

You look rough in most of your shots, is it your signature?

Yes I think it’s kind of my signature. And it sure fits with the haircut. But personally I’m a good guy : ).

What do you see in your future?

Like I said I don’t really have a plan about modeling. And I think it’s pretty difficult to have one. Fashion changes every season & so changes the types & faces that are wanted. The most important thing for me in the future is, to stay happy with what I’m doing.
