Fashion and Olympics

The Olympics is fast becoming the trendiest most talked about “star” across the globe this season but somehow I’ve been shying away from blogging about it. Number 1 because I didn’t think it would make an interesting or fashionable read but somewhere deep in my subconscious I knew it would be motivating so I took the plunge and dived right in.

Primal sound

The vinyl skulls are based on a non fiction essay by the German poet Rainer Maria Rilke entitled “Primal Sound”. In this essay he ponders what sound the coronal suture would make as it closely resembles a sound wave. He proposes that this process of combining what seems like disparate elements initially to create something that the world has never heard, is a model for making good art.
