what's back on fashion photography

Edward Steichen - Gary Cooper 1930

His career as a fashion photographer begun thanks to Condé Nast editions, in 1923 he was chief photographer for Vogue and Vanity Fair. During these years he moved the idea of the untouchable woman into a concrete character of contemporary society, never loosing the fairy/concrete mood that signs all his shootings.

GUY BOURDIN
"A message for you"

‘A message for you’, this is the title of a two volume publication by Guy Bourdin, where a mannequins fétiche displays all the visionary genius of a fashion photographer. Aged thirty, after the military service where he learned how to manage with a camera, he had his first publishing with the French Vogue. Since that moment he officially started his career as a fashion photographer, but mostly in France he was already known to be the one man of different painting exhibitions for different galleries.

Art in Rome

Since two years there’s a new reason to visit Rome the ‘Eternal’ city, it calls MAXXI -Museo per le Arti del XXI secolo-. This structure, which project is by the Iranian Architect Zaha Hadid, winner of the 1998 contest, it’s a spectacle it self. Before the realization of the museum the mood of this city area was completely different, a military structure was based on, and nowadays the actual structure incorporates this building. A great square, part of the project, is in front of the museum. This is the right place to meet people spending free time, hanging around, and studying inside and outside the museum, children running and artists performing.
