FASHION FOR SUCCESS

Audrey Hepburn

People always assume that the constant following of trends and rocking the latest/hottest thing on the catwalk will get them the attention they need to progress on the career ladder, attract the love of their life and boost their confidence. I die for trends but when it comes to dressing for success, I am inspired by old school roots of smart dressing. You know that sexy tailored look that my friend Ozwald Boateng designs? I die for that, I yearn for that. To me that is sexy and I would like to see more of this on young women.

LOUIS VUITTON
Fall 2011, Paris Fashion week

Yesterday Louis Vuitton opened the final day of Paris Fashion Week 2011 with an amazing show where the models stepped out on the catwalk from four elevators . This collection is based on a contrast between high smartness and  fetish ispirations by the designer Marc Jacobs. The models strutted down the runway with silk-organza shirts, big patent leather belts, transparent pvc coats, hot pants and furs. It´s interesting also the maxi squared pailettes skirts or the piton coats. An impressive line up for the maison which included  Mariacarla Boscono, Amber Valletta, Naomi Campbell, Carolyn Murphy and  Kate Moss that  smoking a cigarette closed the show. The result is an elegant but strong woman that likes to impress using her womanhood.

VIKTOR & ROLF
Fall 2011,Paris Fashion week

Medieval age inspirations for the fashion show fall 2011 of the designers Viktor & Rolf presented in Paris. The collection is  characterized by  geometrics designs and strong´s  cuts  on leather , high collars, and  pleated skirts or stiff chiffon-plated dresses with shoulders that were exaggerated (are like parts of reptils). The result is an elegant and extravagant succession of silhouettes with red faces dominated only by black, red ,white and silver colors.
