SADAK
Apocalypse collection a/w 2011-12


SADAK is a Berlin-based fashion label created by Serbian designer Sasa Kovacevic. The label maintains strong ethnographic ties to Serbian traditional attire and is generally inspired by culture and history. SADAK often reinterprets traditional and/or historical clothing with a fashionforward flair, blending tribal symbolism, local beliefs and, for example,sci-fi cinema. BERNHARD WILLHELM
Spring 2012, Paris Fashion Week.

Since the set up of his brand in 1999 (in association with Jutta Kraus) the young man, born in Ulm in the South of Germany, hasn’t stopped building an imaginative nicely crazy universe. First with womenswear, his first collection is presented in Paris on March 1999. Then with menswear he created the first samples in October 2000, but he will present them only in January 2003 during the menswear Fashion Week.  Trained at the Royal Academy of Anvers BERNHARD WILLHELM graduated in 1998, he was alternately the assistant of Walter Van Beirendock, Alexander Mc Queen, Vivienne Westwood and Dirk Bikkembergs. Spring 2012, Milan Fashion Week.

For Spring/Summer 2012,  the designer Neil Barrett presented a collection that mixed the hardness of rock ‘n’ roll with the same sharp tailoring he’s become known for over the years. Spring 2012, Paris Fashion Week.

For his s/s 2012 Thom Browne presented a collection inspired by the 1920s that remind to cabaret. The fashion designer playing with proportions and offering up a boxy silhouette, Thom Browne proved to naysayers that he’s still capable of designing menswear.

WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK
Spring 2012, Paris Fashion Week.

For Spring/Summer 2012, the Belgian designer showed a flurry of soft pastel-hued suits and suit separates. The unusually understated collection had 1950s influences, mostly in the body paint and tricep-length gloves. Though the show started as a quiet collection, for Beirendonck’s standard, ended with a crazy  forms tulle outfits. Here some pictures of the fashion show
